Property Overview

Full of Southern charm, the Mayhurst Inn is the perfect venue for weddings, rehearsal dinners, family or corporate retreats, ladies teas, and birthday or anniversary parties.

The Inn was purposefully built in 1979 in the style of an old Virginia plantation. It is perfectly designed to accommodate weddings and events up to 500 people or smaller parties or receptions. The rural location outside of the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area is perfectly removed from the noise and confusion of the city and allows your event to be completely private, yet easily accessible.

The main level features a parlor, formal dining room, kitchen, great room, powder room, and two delightful guest rooms. Off of the great room, there is a sun room and the covered entrance to a 30' x 60' pavilion.

There is an elegant bridal suite on the upper level, complete with a luxurious bath and a pedicure room. Two other guest rooms on this level are perfect for the bride's family, and a complete laundry facility is also located here.

The lower level is private for the owner's use. It features a master bedroom with an adjoining bath and three other rooms that can be bedrooms, offices, or storage. It also has an extensive great room and a small kitchen.

The permanent pavilion with crystal chandeliers seats 150 guests and can accommodate many more for receptions. From here, you can access the extensive lawn. This area is suitable for smaller events and is complete with a large pool, fire pit with seating areas, hot tub, cigar tree, and a dependency housing a billiard table. There are two other small dependencies which are currently used for storage. A small cottage sits to the rear of the lawn and can be used as a guest cottage.

There is ample parking on the 23-acre estate and a two-car garage. A tennis court, complete with two basketball goals, is often used by the guests.
